Prof. Syed Raza Mamnoon

A highly experienced law professional with over 22 years of practice in legal consultancy and counseling. He has served as both a practicing lawyer and an In-House Legal Counsel for multinational and local companies. His expertise spans corporate matters, statutory legal, and regulatory issues.

In addition to his legal practice, Syed Raza has over 20 years of experience as a law professor, contributing significantly to the academic community. He has served on academic committees, reviewed manuscripts, and acted as a paper setter and head examiner for LL.B and LL.M exams at the University of Karachi. He is also authorized to supervise LL.M thesis students.

Currently, he is a Professor of Law at Government Islamia Law College, a position he has held since July 2004. He is admitted to practice as an Advocate in the High Court and Sub-Ordinate Courts and is a member of the Sindh High Court Bar Association.

Syed Raza values excellence in law education and aims to instill ethical and professional values in his students. He uses interactive teaching techniques and encourages student participation to deliver engaging lectures.

His inspiration to become a law professor came from his father, Syed Mamnoon-ul-Hasan, a leading advocate and former principal of Government Islamia Law College.

Syed Raza holds an LL.M and LL.B from Govt. Islamia Law College, an MBA from SZABIST, and a Bachelor of Commerce from Govt. Premier Commerce College. He is fluent in English and Urdu and is married with three children.
