A distinguished law professional and educator. Moin Azhar is currently serving as a Professor and Principal at Islamia Law College. He is a member of several prestigious bar associations, including the Sindh Bar Council, Karachi Bar Association, High Court Bar Association, Pakistan Bar Council, and Supreme Court Bar Association.
Moin's inspiration to become a law professor stems from his father, Prof. Azhar Ali Siddiqui, an Advocate at the Supreme Court of Pakistan and former Principal of Islamia Law College. His father Professor Siddiqui has served all his life as an educator since 1976 till his wreath in 1997, his struggle for legal education, continuing legal education after enrolment as an advocate from the platform of Bar Association was his soul idea. Moin is fluent in English and Urdu and has numerous reported judgments to his name. He has received Moot Court awards and three Presidential awards in scouting, has also served as Deputy Chief Commissioner Pakistan Boy Scouts and represented Pakistan in more than nineteen countries attending conferences on legal issues and scouting.
His career highlights include being enrolled as an advocate in subordinate courts in 1990, becoming an advocate of the High Court in 1992, and being appointed as a lecturer at Islamia Law College in 1997. He became the principal in 2009 and was enrolled as an advocate of the Supreme Court and a member of the Pakistan Bar Council in 2007.
Moin is admitted to practice at the Supreme Court of Pakistan and High Courts across the country. His educational background includes an MA in International Relations from the University of Karachi, an LL.B from Islamia Law College, and an MA in Shariat Law from Islamic University, Islamabad. He has authored articles on various legal topics, including the legal history of Pakistan, interpretation of statutes, and international law.
